Just posted: Our review of the Fujinon XF 14mm 1:2.8 R lens. Fujifilm has been steadily building up its X-system of rangefinder-inspired mirrorless cameras since its launch in January last year, and the 14mm F2.8 is the fifth lens in the family. It's a 21mm-equivalent ultra-wide prime that's designed to match the full field of view offered by the X-Pro1's optical viewfinder. Like the other XF
The Fujifilm XF 60mm f/2.4 R macro lens has an all-metal construction, including the lens hood, which makes it feel high-quality and rugged. The metal lens hood adds a more premium feel to the lens as well, although I’ve heard plastic transfers less shock to a lens if dropped. It is nice that the lens hood reverses for when you want to store it.
The lens is supplied with a small rubber cap which is easily slipped on the lens hood (be careful, it is very easy to lose it). The Xf 18mm with the lens hood is about the same size as the xf 35mm F2 without the lens hood. It is, therefore, an ideal size for street photography for example.

AF settings typically afc, smallest central AF point selected, focus release priority, back button AF with the xt2. i recently purchased a 2nd hand Fuji 18mm f2. Shooting a static object (ie my fridge with a poster on it with good light and good contrast) at 1/125, f4, with the same AF settings it is out of focus in approximately 3 out of 10 pics.
With virtually zero distortion, the XF 14mm f/2.8 R is designed for architecture and landscape photography needs, although the very short focusing distance of just 0.18 meters also makes it a practical choice for other types of photography, including close-up and environmental portraiture. The Fujifilm XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS is the first zoom lens in Fujifilm's relatively new XF line-up. Compatible with both the X-Pro1 and X-E1 compact system cameras, the 18-55mm F2.8-4 lens boasts an angle-of-view range similar to that of a 27-84mm lens in a 35mm system. Other highlights include a close-focus point of 30cm, an iris diaphragm
